General Description:
The sapwood of poplar ranges from light yellow to white and the heartwood is light brown to olive green. The wood has a fine texture and is straight grained. Poplar is lightweight and its characteristics make it easy to machine, plane, glue, bore, nail, and screw. It takes and holds paints and stains very well.
Main Uses:
Poplar is used in furniture, kitchen cabinets, doors, mouldings, and carvings.
